12 Days of Christmas – Day # 6

12 Days of Christmas – Day # 6

Day # 6’s puzzle was tougher than I thought it would be! I loved the image but felt myself struggling just a little bit with the three tires on the car. I could not for the life of me figure out one of the pieces. As it turned out, it was a duplicate piece! This is the first time I have ever had a puzzle with an extra piece. Plenty of times I have been missing one or two, but…

12 Days of Christmas – Day # 5

12 Days of Christmas – Day # 5

This puzzle was fun and not overly challenging. Its very sweet and cute. For some reason that I cannot explain, the image reminds me of a care bear. I am envisioning one I used to see as a child– I think it might have been a rainbow care bear? I am really not sure. I just know every time I look at the puzzle all I see in my mind are those bears. LOL So now I am on to…

12 Days of Christmas – Day 4

12 Days of Christmas – Day 4

I love snowman puzzles! They are one of my most favorite puzzle themes. They always have such cute faces and colorful clothing. They just make me happy. They do remind me a bit of my childhood growing up in a wintery area of northern California. I usually made a snownan at least once a year. This is the 4th puzzle I have completed in this set. So far each one has been fun. Of course I have my favorites and…

12 Days of Christmas Puzzles – Day 3

12 Days of Christmas Puzzles – Day 3

I enjoyed Day’s 3 puzzle better than Day 2, but not quite as much as Day 1. It is a cute penguin and that is one of my family nicknames. My brother started calling me that when I was a little girl – presumably because my name is Penny, but I dont really know why other than that. LOL. Guess I should ask my brother at some point. I used to call him bubby as I guess I could not…

12 Days of Christmas Puzzles – Day 2

12 Days of Christmas Puzzles – Day 2

Day 2’s puzzle image was definitely a bit more challenging than Day 1. The colors are darker and because I assembled this one at night, I found it a little more difficult to finish than the cute Santa from the day before. This image reminds me of my childhood in that I ALWAYS wanted to check the mail. I dreamed of opening the box and finding small packages like these hidden inside just waiting for me to open the door….

12 Days of Christmas Puzzles — Day 1

12 Days of Christmas Puzzles — Day 1

I found the most adorable box set of puzzles at Kohl’s recently. They are all Christmas themed of course and there is an individual box to open for each of the 12 days. Caeco is the maker of this one and the quality is great. The fit is pretty snug and I can pick up the entire puzzle without it falling apart. Day # 1’s puzzle was a very cute Santa Claus holding gifts for some lucky recipient. I love…

Go West Young Bostonian!

Go West Young Bostonian!

Saw this adorable little face and had to get it. This is a small, 100-piece puzzle so it did not take long at all to complete. I think this may be my first Re-marks puzzle and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The pieces fit together tightly and I was able to pick up the entire puzzle and stand it on end. Always love it when I can do that. ? As I have said before, I love Boston Terriers since I…

Santa Paws

Santa Paws

This was the second puzzle I recently picked up at Hobby Lobby from a company called Brother Sister Design Studio. I had pretty low expectations as I had never heard of this company, and even when I opened the first one, Pretty in Pink, I thought the pieces seemed a little bit thin. However, I was soon pleasantly surprised as the pieces fit together so nicely. When I opened Santa Paws for a quick puzzle fix a few nights ago,…
