Have you ever had a puzzle that you fell in love with immediately, couldn’t wait to do, and then half to two thirds of the way done, you were just over it and wanted it to end? That was me with this puzzle.

I instantly fell in love with the colors and the buildings as soon as I saw the puzzle. Even as I grabbed a couple of other puzzles to do first, my mind kept drifting back to this one until I said, “OK…I am doing this one next.”

The first half of the puzzle was pretty easy and fun to do. When I got to about the 2/3rds completion mark something in me just got really tired of working on it. It’s only a 1000 piece puzzle so it really shouldn’t have been too overwhelming and it’s colorful enough so as not to be difficult either.

So why did I feel like giving up when I only had about a third left? I really don’t know. It was definitely starting to get a little more difficult with not being able to easily discern where any given piece went in the remaining open spots. There were even a couple of times where I thought — should I just put it away for now and try again later? Luckily, my inner voice kept telling me to keep trudging along. And, I’m so glad I did! It turned out to be just as beautiful finished as I initially thought it looked in the box.

The colors are totally my cup of tea. I am a fall and earthy tones kind of gal through and through so this was the perfect combination for me. Now that it’s done, I am planning to frame it for my upstairs guest bathroom I think. It’s so pretty!

About 1/4 into it and still loving it.
Done, glued, and ready to frame.

Ironically, even though I have a bunch of Chuck Pinson puzzles in my massive To Do mountain, this was the first one I’ve assembled. It was tough, but his artwork is breathtaking. It certainly won’t be my last. Looking forward to doing another one of his soon.

  1. Thanks Stacey. I was completely in love with before assembling it. I am still enamoured with the resulting picture, but it did become a bit of a chore to get it across the finish line.
