Assembly: When I first saw this puzzle on Vermont Christmas Company’s website, I really liked it and because it was by one of my favorite puzzle artists, David Maclean, I put it in my cart immediately. After opening the box and sorting through the pieces to pull out the edges, I saw the image was a somewhat blurrier than the box image. I was a bit disappointed, but decided to keep moving on anyway.

It ended up being a pretty fun puzzle despite the fact it was a little blurry. The overall finished image looks quite nice and I like it, but wish it had been a little crisper. The quality of the pieces was good, but not over the top great. It had a loose fit and I could not pick it up when finished at all for risk of it falling apart.

As always with David Maclean’s work, I enjoyed the artwork and think the overall scene is a nice one, but not my favorite reproduction of one of his images. This is one I will be returning to the box and either selling or trading.
