Rock On Scooby Doo!

Rock On Scooby Doo!

I absolutely LOVE Scooby Doo. It was my favorite cartoon growing up, and even as 45-year-old woman, I will still sit down and watch an episode if it comes on TV. My favorite Scooby Doo shows were always the ones that had famous guest stars. They were great fun.

Of course pretty early on I figured out how to tell who the “monster” or bad guy was based on them making an appearance in the very beginning of the show, and then magically not really being talked about or seen after that until the big reveal.

Ironically, it was as an adult living on my own in an apartment that I saw an episode that would make me laugh harder than any other I can recall. I don’t recall many details of the episode except for two scenes. The first one has Scoob and Shaggy running from the monster. Scooby gets his tail caught in a closing door, and reaches for a small, brown paper bag to scream into so the monster doesn’t hear and reveal their location.

A short time later, they are in another area and Shaggy opens the brown paper bag and Scooby’s scream come out of the bag. It was hysterical! I laughed out loud for a good minute. It was just so funny.

Luckily, both boys love all the Scooby Doo movies that have come out so it’s a good excuse for Mommy to get to see them too. Derek particularly loves the one with Batman and the WWE wrestlers! LOL

So when I found this cute little children’s puzzle at Goodwill one day, I had to get it. Scooby is getting his rock on in this adorable, and surprisingly well constructed puzzle. The chipboard is very thick, hard (doesn’t bend), very smooth and shiny. The fit is also nice. I think Cole and I have assembled this puzzle more than any other kid’s puzzle we own. And each time it’s a race to see who can get the pieces in first. He usually wins — the stinker.

Needless to say, the boys and I cannot wait for the “Scoob” movie coming out later this year. Zoinks!
