Puzzle Review: The Nightmare Before Christmas

Puzzle Review: The Nightmare Before Christmas

One of Derek’s holiday gifts this year was a puzzle. I will admit, I did have an ulterior motive for getting this for him – and I am sure you have no idea what that might be, right?! ?

Basically, he loves the movie but has almost zero interest in doing puzzles and I have zero interest in the movie, but…well, you see where I am going with this. HEE HEE

So when I saw this cute little 300 piece puzzle I thought this will be perfect to do with Derek and little brother Cole and then hang in his room.

At first every time I mentioned to him that we should work on the puzzle, his reaction was okay…can we do it after dinner? Or can we do it tomorrow? Of course those always got met with another excuse until a few days ago when I said we were going to start working on it, and then if he wanted to leave it to Cole and I to finish that would be fine. So that’s what we did. Derek did Jack Skellington’s face and most of the other character’s as well. Then he was pretty much done and left the rest for Cole and I to finish. Well, okay…if you HAVE to, Derek! ??

And here is the end result. Pretty cute, right?

The puzzle quality was good and the pieces seemed to fit together well enough, but I did find out when I went to glue it that it was still pretty loose. I couldn’t pick it up to even slide wax paper underneath so that was a bit frustrating.

Overall it was a really fun puzzle to do and kept most of us (LOL) engaged until the end. My absolute favorite part of the puzzle is the runaway clawfoot tub. Isn’t it adorable?

And away we gooooo…….

I would definitely reccommend this puzzle to any Jack Skellington fan. It was pretty purple and pretty fun!
