Some Much Needed Mommy Free Time
I am happy to report that I got a nice little chunk of Mommy Free time this last weekend and it was WONDEFUL!!! It was the first completely kid free time I’ve had since Cole was born about 2.5 months ago. Randy took both kids out for several hours and gave me a break. Of course, instead of napping like I probably should have, I couldn’t wait to get in some puzzling time. I spent close to 4 hours working on the puzzle and it truly felt like heaven.
I didn’t get as much done as I would have liked to, but I did make some really good progress on the black / blueish sky area and mostly finished the dolphin jumping out of the water.
Here’s a couple of new pictures so you can see the progress. Hoping to get another mommy free break again in the next couple of weeks…yippeee!
Very slow progress, but at least I am moving forward a few inches at a time! LOL

Glad to hear you got back in the saddle. Little by little, step by step, it will surrender. I know, I've been there!!
The article is nice and its pleasant to read
Congratulations on the new addition to the family! The puzzle looks amazing so far. Thanks for ur support and encouragement. May puzzle pieces be with you always 🙂
Hi Penny,
Thanks for stopping by Fiction Books earlier today. It is great to 'meet' you and I shall always appreciate your visits and comments.
I couldn't believe the mammouth task you have set yourself with this jigsaw, you certainly don't believe in doing things on a small scale, do you? LOL
You are so lucky to have a basement room where you can set up your project, although I am hoping that this isn't going to become to boys playroom in the future! The sections of jigsaw you show above are so colourful that they must be a joy to do, I'm not quite so sure about the large chunks of 'sky' though.
Once I start working on a jigsaw, I tend to get totally engrossed in it, to the extent where a half hour time filler, becomes a three or four hour marathon before I know it. I can understand just how difficult it must be for you to get a few free minutes these days, although your boys are certainly a credit to you.
I feel as though I have entered the room mid conversation here, as this project has obviously been ongoing for some time, however I shall try to stop by on a regular basis and keep up with progress. I have posted a more comprehensive reply on the Fiction Books article you commented on, so I do hope that we can touch base again soon.

Enjoy as much free time as you can and Happy Puzzling,
Yvonne
Hi Yvonne! Thanks for checking out my blog. The feeling of entering the room mid conversation is understandable. I have been doing the blog since July of 2010, but there is an easy, albeit extensive, way to catch up….all of the posts are archived and you can see each and every one of them if you want by clicking on the year, month, etc. on the right side of the blog.
I will post the same thing on your blog in case you don't see this response.

Hi Penny,
I'm up to date with what's going on here now and I have to say I am speechless. I had no idea that jigsaw puzzles this large even existed. Hubbie would have a fit if I decided to take something like this on as a hobby project. Even 34 years of marriage wouldn't survive that! LOL
I shall be stopping by to keep track of your progress, although I have yet to choose my more modest jigsaw to start work on next.
Have a great weekend,
Yvonne
