I think I can honestly say this puzzle is now at the top of my list of favorite puzzles in 2026! I absolutely adored it from the first piece to the last. The colors were amazing, the quality top notch, and it was a great bonding experience with my husband who did just as much of this puzzle as I which is really saying something.

He will typically put in a few pieces here and there on a puzzle or help out for all of a few minutes and then he’s done and moves on to something he likes better — watching TV. So the fact he was completely engaged in this one just as much was awesome.

After we completed the border together, Randy started working on the two red squares with the handcuffs and the gun….hmmm, is that Freudian for something buried deep within him? LOL

I started working on the violin and the words which are always an early favorite of mine in a puzzle. Thankfully this puzzle had quite a few fun spelling areas to work. We found ourselves very engrossed in the puzzle and worked on it off and on throughout this last weekend. While it was a little difficult to get both large office chairs in front of the puzzle board at the same time, we did manage okay and sometimes were working on it at different times too.

There were only two boxes where we struggled a bit.

Great Scotland Yard was easy to pull out during sorting for the most part, but it did not go together so easily. The almost U-shape of the wording made it a bit trickier and we ended up having the top connection off by one piece to the right. We of course ultimately figured out our mistake and fixed it. I had pulled those pieces early, but we didn’t end up finishing that area until close to the end. The werewolf (I think?) was also very tricky. It is a super dark area of the puzzle and between the nighttime background and the fur itself, it took a long time to get him finished up too. The white moon was fun though in this one.

I’m definitely in love with this series and hope to do the Charles Dickens and Jane Austin ones soon as well. Hopefully with the assistance of my new found puzzle helper – if he sticks around the table for a while. 🤣
