The Incredibles
This is an absolute first for me and my puzzle blog. A 300-piece puzzle was completed at my puzzle board today and I only put in maybe 10 pieces!
I grabbed this quick and easy puzzle knowing it would be a good palette cleanser after the Sherlock Holmes puzzle was completed. The pieces were typical thin Ceaco quality with huge pieces with a glossy finish and a pretty loose fit, but it did lay flat when assembled.
Right before going to bed last night, I quickly pulled out the edge pieces and laid them on the board. About 10 minutes after I started, Randy came up to head to bed and put together a few of the border pieces as I was finishing up the sorting. When I finished sorting, I put a few pieces together and said I would do the rest in the morning.
Randy stayed in the room while I got ready for bed and came in a few minutes later and said the border was done. Well great – we can start on the middle tomorrow!
This morning I woke up, and started my normal routine of coffee, breakfast and making sure my oldest was up to get ready for school. I then went back upstairs and found Randy at the puzzle table working away. LOL. I think he has been bitten by the puzzle bug.
He continued to work on it for at least 40 minutes and when Cole got up he worked on it with him for a little bit. Throughout the day whenever Randy would stop by the office to say hi, he was putting pieces together. Cole was home sick from school today and helped a few times throughout the morning.
I think around lunch time, when I was already downstairs in the kitchen, Randy texted me a pic of the completed puzzle! I couldn’t believe how quickly they finished it. And even more stunning was the fact other than a few border pieces and maybe four interior pieces, I did not place anything else! LOL
I am so glad they liked it so much. I even let Randy choose between a couple 1000 piece puzzles as our next up. I have to take advantage of this while it lasts as I’m sure it won’t. LOL
