Shake It Off — Part 1
“Shake It Off” by Taylor Swift is one of the few songs I don’t immediately switch XM satellite radio stations when it comes on. I don’t know why, but I’m just not a big fan of hers. Yes, I think she’s an incredibly smart business woman to make her career what it is today, and I’m totally aligned with her stance on our government, but that’s about where it ends for me. Some of you will be disappointed to hear, but I am not a “Swiftie.”
Luckily all the shaking I’ve been doing recently is on the puzzle table with this adorable set of mini puzzles that Stacey sent me quite a while back. I just got around to putting them together about a week or so ago. They’re still on my puzzle board as I have been too busy to even touch the table.
I always enjoy the mini puzzles and have done quite a few. They’re quick, easy and a lot of fun to assemble. This one was no exception and I found myself doing them each weekday morning before starting work. Really enjoyed them. Some I liked better than others and there were only a couple that I didn’t care for much at all and would never consider eating if it were a real shake sitting in front of me right now.
These are my two favorites from the entire set. I love things that are strawberry flavored and this one looks so delicious. I can imagine how nice it would taste on a hot summer afternoon. I’m not really into gourmet or crazy looking shakes to be perfectly honest. Give me a plain strawberry or cookies n’ cream shake, preferably with no whipped cream, and I’m a happy girl. I don’t need all that extra “fuffiness” to distract me from the sweet goodness of the shake.

I think maybe it’s mainly the colors that make me like this one, and the fact that by comparison to some of the others, it’s a bit more simplistic which I like. I love the color purple. I am trying to determine what flavor something like this one would be — possibly blackberry or blueberry? Not sure, but it’s super pretty.

The last one for today’s post is the one I liked the looks of the least. I cannot imagine what rainbowish flavor this one would have been. Cherry maybe? It reminds me of skittles which I don’t like and this one also feels a bit chaotic and too over the top in its presentation. Maybe it’s just me…What do you think?

Of course you know that I’m in complete agreement about the small puzzles, there’s such a sense of accomplishment when you can finish a whole puzzle in one sitting. Being able to find a few minutes to puzzle one of these every morning must have put you in a better place to start the day.
That’s one of the reasons I love an advent calendar even though I’m not a lady who enjoys Christmas images; having a puzzle that I can complete with a cup of coffee in the morning, especially during the hectic holiday season, is great for my mental health. I’ve already got this year’s advent calendar, and it’s by Ravensburger, so there won’t be another 2019 Ceaco advent debacle. LOL
I’m with you on almost all of this post, except I AM a Swiftie.
