Assembly: I loved the colors and the overall scene in this puzzle. As has been my experience with ALL of the Buffalo 300-piece Charles Wysocki puzzles I have assembled, the quality and fit were outstanding. Buffalo does a fantastic job on these small puzzles. The pieces are thick, very sturdy and have a nice fit. Now, if they could apply this same quality to some of their 2,000 piece puzzles, I would be a happier camper. 🙂
The level of difficulty on this one was higher than I expected and therefore took me a bit longer to complete than the other 300’s of his I have done. I think there were two factors that made it more challenging — 1) the brush strokes were much more evident in the image and therefore a bit harder to distinguish; especially given 2) the color scheme was various shades of brown and tan. Of course there were a few other colors thrown in for good measure to keep it interesting.
My absolute favorite part of the puzzle was this sign. It made me laugh out loud, and still brings a smile to my face each time I look at it. “We Yodel While We Stuff” — sausages! HA HA
My other two favorites were the house with the face at the end whose sticking out it’s tongue. So cute! And of course the guy selling his “mama’s recipe” for Apple Butter. I bet it was good too! And don’t even get me started on the old fashioned root beer they were serving. Boy would I have liked to try that. I LOVE root beer!
This was a highly enjoyable Charles Wysocki and another puzzle where it left me thinking, this would have been so much fun in a larger piece count. To me that’s always a good sign of a fun puzzling session.
