PUZZLE REVIEW: Winter Village Stream
Manufacturer: White Mountain Puzzles
Name: Winter Village Stream
Series: 6-in-1 boxed set
Artist / Photographer: Unknown
Piece Count: 300
Piece Quality: Very good
New / Used: New
Fit: Excellent
Assembly: This was the first of a 6 in 1 holiday collector’s box of varying size puzzles by White Mountain Puzzles. The quality was good, and the pieces had a nice thickness. I believe this was another one I was able to stand up for a second without puzzle glue or anything and it did not fall apart. Built this one quite some time ago so it’s hard to recall all the details now, but I do remember enjoying it, and it was the first puzzle I ever used puzzle saver sheets. I wanted to see how they worked and I was pleasantly surprised. It went on easy and has kept the puzzle stable for several years.
The image itself was cute, although I don’t care for the looks of the snow covered rocks in the creek running under the bridge. It is not very realistic looking. Overall, a nice puzzle and I would recommend this 6 in 1 boxed set as it has many nice images including some by Steve Crisp.
Overall Rating: B

I like Steve Crisp images, but there’s too much snow in this one for me. It’s pretty though, well done!
Thanks Stacey. I think the top three quarters of the puzzle are great. The bottom 1/4 not so much. I wouldnt consider doing this image again.
And I like a lot of his images too. I think he missed the mark a bit on this one though.
Those rocks look more like glazed doughnuts 🙂
LOL. I couldnt agree with you more! It really really makes the entire image look so fake.
