Ophelia
This is another example of how my tastes in puzzle art have changed / evolved over time. I don’t know that would have bought this one a few years ago. I might have thought it was too dark or too artsy or something. I’m not even sure. All I know now is that I find this puzzle absolutely stunning. It’s simple, but extremely elegant and I am thoroughly in love with the image.
I like to think I would love this image even more in a larger piece count, but I’m also thinking that in a 1000 piece count, the black of Ophelia’s dress and the bird painting might have proven to be quite challenging. So it’s probably best it was only 300 pieces as this made the build very enjoyable and not overly challenging. Maybe 500 pieces on this one would be ideal. A little more time could be spent with this gorgeous image, but not so large as to be overly tricky to complete. The color palette of the image is small with mostly blacks and various shades of red and orange, but it worked together really well.
I have never done a puzzle by artist Laura El, but now that I’ve completed and so thoroughly enjoyed this one, I’m going to see if I can find more of her images.

It was not up to Stacey Stance picture tightness, but thoroughly enjoyable nonetheless and I had a great time with this one from start to finish.
