How cute is this puzzle? I went to Ollie’s Discount Store over the weekend and they had a boatload of puzzles. It took me more than 20 minutes just to go through all of them and select the ones I wanted most. Best of all, the most expensive puzzles there were only $7.99 for a 3000 piece puzzle (which I did not get) and the rest were marked at $4.99! What a great price, and they had lots of 300, 500, and 1000 pieces puzzles to choose from..
I could not resist the cereal box cube puzzles they had and I got one of each one there — 5 in total. The box alone is adorable, and fortunately the puzzles themselves are super cute too. They’re only 50 pieces each and can be assembled in a few minutes. Probably not even as long as it takes to drink a cup of coffee.
I chose to start with Tucan Sam first as he is one of my favorites. Froot Loops is one the cereals I like best, and part of that could be because I was never allowed to have any growing up. My mom refused to let me have any cereals with sugar in them. So from the time I was just a small child until I became an adult it was regular cornflakes, rice krispies, or plain orginial Cheerios. It wasn’t even until high school that my mom finally relented and let me have a box of Honey Nut Cheerios for the first time! I felt like I had died and gone to heaven when that happened. LOL
Since being an adult, I have purchased a handful of Froot Loops boxes and have thoroughly enjoyed them, but I guess the many years of eating healthier cereals has stuck with me, and other than Honey Nut Cheerios, I don’t purchase sugared cereal to this day. I rarely eat cereal anymore anyway so it’s not a huge loss, but put a box of Froot Loops and some milk in front of me and I will chow down.
The quality on this puzzle wasn’t bad. The pieces were large, but a little on the thin side and there was a glare, but it laid flat and it was tight enough to be able to do a Stacey Stance shot at the end so that’s always a plus in my book. The pieces had a similar thickness and shine that a typical 300-piece Ceaco puzzle would have, but with a little less glare and a slightly tighter fit. A 300-piece Ceaco image is difficult to stand up so this RoseArt version is already better than a Ceaco in my opinion, and I cannot wait to do the rest of the cereal cubes.
