In keeping with my Christmas in July theme for this month, here is a second Christmas themed puzzle I did several years ago. I absolutely LOVE Diane Dempsey’s vintage, mid-century modern look to her artwork. They are colorful, nostalgic and great fun to assemble. This was my first puzzle by her, and after I did this one and loved it, I bought several others. They all have a similar color palette, but I don’t mind as the images are just so much fun!
The puzzle was detailed, but not overly so and there were numerous areas to focus on unlike some puzzles that are too minutely detailed to have any large areas to focus on at any one time. This image checked all the boxes for me and now that I am putting together this post, I am regretting having given this one away after I finished it. This is one of the rare images where I feel like I wouldn’t mind doing it again at some point. Oh well…maybe I will find it at a thrift store someday.
I would love to submerge myself right into this image and see what life was like back in this era of yesteryear where people cared about their fellow man and neighbor. Did the right thing for the right reasons most of the time, and genuinely wanted the best for everyone. I wish we still lived in a simpler time like this, but with the more modern conveniences we have today.
I know that is certainly not the reality we live in today, but a girl can dream, right?!
