Puppy Trouble

Isn’t this puzzle adorable?! I am in love with Gary Patterson’s artwork! I have a couple of his dog and cat images and they are so cute and fun to assemble. I only wish this one had been in a much larger piece count, then I could have stretched out the joy a bit longer.

As with most Eurographics puzzles I’ve done, the fit was great and the matte finish lovely. Because of the small size of this puzzle at only 100 pieces, the pieces were pretty large in size which could be helpful for a senior citizen or anyone with finger dexterity or vision issues.

I did some close ups of a few of the dogs I liked best. The first dog on the left reminds me of my sister-in-law’s dog, a huge white German Sheppard, only because she would always put her paws up on the counter and take whatever she felt like as a young dog. Granted, my SIL and BIL did not train her properly in order for her not to do such things, but this puppy trying desperately to get to the cupcake definitely reminds me of “Storm”. She’s now considered a bit of an old lady in large dog years so she doesn’t do this much anymore. Though even now, I would not put anything delicious out on the counter to test the level of her willpower.

The middle dog cracks me up. I have had dogs in my life who would bury their face in a bag or bucket of anything and walk around stumbling into whatever was in their path. They just too funny to watch and I could not bear to be mad at them for getting into stuff sometimes.

The smirk on this 3rd guy as he very coyly does a side eye to see if anyone’s paying enough attention for him not to get away with eating the cake makes me smile. Thank goodness this cake was not made with chocolate, but I could totally see how satisfying getting away with a bit ole bite of the vanilla and frosting goodness here would be too tempting to resist.

Needless to say, I really enjoyed the build on this one and while it was over way too quickly, it was a boatload of fun to do.
