This Aimee Stewart puzzle was so much fun! I loved every minute of it, and it wasn’t a difficult build either. It was one I completed so long ago that I would have sworn I had published something about it here, but I don’t see anything in doing a search of all my blog posts so maybe I didn’t. Hopefully because I don’t want to repeat content anymore than I already have with Vacation Mickey.
I used to love wearing make up as a teen and as a young adult, but somewhere along the line I just stopped wanting to put it on and have never gone back to it. On very rare occasions I will put on a little bit if it’s a fancy event or something, but for the most part I just don’t enjoy putting it on anymore. I guess I just prefer the very low maintenance, plain Jane look these days. What can I say?
If I remember correctly, this puzzle came together quite quickly and was thoroughly enjoyable as are almost all Aimee Stewart’s puzzles. She has an amazing eye for art, and oftentimes I find small elements within the image that remind me of my own childhood. She and I are clearly right around the same age because the 80s are where she gets a lot of her inspirations and “things” she puts into her puzzles and I’m usually like, “Ohhh, I had one of those!” or I see something and it brings back memories of either the same item or a very similar one my parents may have had. Regardless, her images are just so much fun and I thoroughly enjoy each and every one I have done so far.
I love the laptop in the image as I envision the person this represents is a You Tuber who creates beauty and makeup related content. Although, I have to say as an IT person, she is living dangerously by setting the bottle of nail polish directly on top of the laptop! LOL Regardless, the image is very colorful, and I especially like the small images embossed into the eye shadows on the right side. They’re so cute I would never want to mess them up by actually running a brush over the stamped image and ruining it..
Writing up this post has made me realize it’s been quite a while since I’ve done one of Aimee’s images. I think it’s about time to pull another one off the shelf and dive in and I cannot wait!
