Check Please (or Vintage Signs?)

Check Please (or Vintage Signs?)

Have you ever seen a puzzle that appears to have two titles? That’s what I ran into with this super cute Re-marks puzzle I finished last week. I always thought it was titled “Check Please” as that is what is written on the bottom right corner of the boxtop. Sounds reasonable, right?

However, when I was almost done with the assembly I happened to look at the side of the puzzle box and noticed it had a different title altogther called “Vintage Signs”. So now I’m not sure which is the true title. Check Please, even though written on the box top image, is not on the actual image which to me suggests it’s a title. Here’s the pic showing both titles. What do you think?

Regardless of the title (I will capture both here), this was such a fun image to assemble and I loved every minute of it. It was a simple 500 piece collage image of restaurant signs. Honestly, I think the “Vintage Signs” title is a more appropriate title, but then I cannot figure out why the Check Please is on top. This is apparently really bothering me as I keep coming back to it over and over. LOL

Here are my three favorite signs…

Of course The Doghouse would be one I would gravitate toward for obvious reasons. The other two images remind me of my childhood and baking with my mom. We baked a lot of homemade pies and it’s still one of my favorite desserts to make to this day. She also made from scratch pancakes or waffles as well almost every weekend. They were always so delicious! I make them now too for my kids, but not nearly as often as she used to make them.

Cole assembled most of the rope and anchor on the Shipwreck Cafe which was nice as that was the one I was looking forward to the least for some weird reason.

Quality on this one was lovely, and after having just been working with the horribly thin Big Ben pieces earlier that week, these felt thick and luxurious which was nice. The fit was good and I attempted to get a Stacey stance photo, but it started coming part as I was trying to put it into place, but I almost got it!

I knew the moment I hit the buy button on this one, Stacey would claim it for her pile of puzzles to be exchanged and so there it sits now waiting to find a new home to be re-assembled and loved on soon.
