Well in case anyone is wondering why I haven’t been updating the blog much in the last couple of weeks, here’s the reason why…

| Day 7 — Going home today!
Cole Hudson Weiss decided to make his world debut 6 days earlier than previously planned! So, on July 30th at 9:36 p.m. we welcomed him to his new world. At only 4 lbs. 13 oz. he was tiny but relatively healthy, but was having some issues maintaining blood sugar and body temps so he ended up having to go into the Special Care Nursery for a while. The following day they ran some tests and discovered that he had some sort of infection in the blood and needed to be on antibiotics for 7 to 10 days. After the 7th day, luckily, we were able to bring our new little guy home. We are thrilled to have him in our lives and he makes our family complete now. Big brother Derek has been a big help in taking care of his baby brother, and doesn’t even seem to mind so much when Cole cries…which thankfully isn’t a lot, so far. LOL
So, needless to say, this is why I haven’t been doing much puzzling in the last couple of weeks. I hope to get an opportunity to get back to it soon…probably once my in-laws leave.
