Balloons and Tigers and Rocks – OH MY!

Sorry I haven’t updated the blog in a little while, but for several days every time I went down to my puzzle room in the basement, I forgot to bring my camera with me so I couldn’t take the pictures while I was there working on it, and then of course Derek would be ready to wake up or something so I just never got around to taking any pictures until this morning.  I have made some good progress and look forward to making a lot more this week hopefully.

The balloons are pretty much done except for a few of the baskets at the bottom of each balloon.  The tiger is almost completely done and is now attached to the rocks and grass section where the sheep, house, and lighthouse connect.

You will also see the start of what I have dubbed the “tiger fish” at the very bottom of the section. I inadvertently started pulling pieces for him in my initial sort for the tiger pieces as the coloring was similar.  Once I started putting together the tiger, I realized that some of the pieces were this pretty fish at the bottom.  So, I just have part of his body finished for now.

Today when Derek goes down for his nap, I am going to start tackling the moon and the large lion fish in the underwater section…..he’s what I am referring to as the “big, ugly dude”.  He’s orange and white and has tons of tennacles? or arms? sticking out from him at all angles.  He is kind of funky looking.

Here are a few pictures of the latest progress as of this morning.
